This two-hour course will show users why descriptive statistics are powerful data summaries and how they can offer real insight. Descriptive statistics describe and summarise data and present it in an easily understandable manner. Descriptive statistics consist of measures of central tendency, variation, and shape. Users will learn how to run tables to show the mean, median and mode for variables and the best methods to visualise these measures.  

Exploratory data analysis (EDA) is also covered in this course, providing a deeper examination of data and hidden insights into data. Variation and shape measures are also available in EDA, and these will be reviewed. Finally, course attendees will learn how to create tables and visualisations.
